Laughter, Love and Gay Grandpas

I'd like to think that I see a shadow of me in this picture of Nutella. As a matter of fact, I think I do ... and that brings me happiness.

This past weekend was full of happiness, laughter and love. After going to the Highland Games, we all went back to our house, where the little kids played, Mark worked on preparing his famous ribs, and I had an opportunity to have a couple of good talks with Hannah and Adam. It was truly a picture of domestic bliss, and I reveled in having most of my children, along with Nutella and Cary, around me.

We are really enjoying our new patio furniture!

Later in the evening, Cary and Hannah took the Quads back to Bountiful while Mark and I took care of Nutella. It was fun taking her for a walk around the neighborhood. I'm pretty sure this is the first time Mark has probably pushed a baby in a stroller. ;) He very proudly introduced "our" granddaughter to some of the neighbors on the next street over.

The following morning, we took Nathan, Adam, Hannah, Cary and Nutella out for brunch at one of our favorite restaurants in Salt Lake - the Oasis Cafe - which also happens to be the place where Mark and I. We all ordered the same thing - their fabulous cranberry-walnut bread french toast and equally tasty house omelette - sharing three orders of each among us.

I couldn't resist taking a picture of the "gay Buddha" (notice his right hand) at Oasis

All too soon, it was time to say goodbye to Hannah, Cary and Nutella. It had been a busy, but oh so wonderful week.
