The Food of Europe: Day Two at Le Cassini

Yesterday was a red day. I'm not a big red wine drinker, partly because the tannins can give me a migraine. But Rob helped us pick out an excellent red to go with the steak we would be having. A Bourgogne, this wine was the lightest, most minerally, most delicious red I've ever tasted.

The appetizer was some charcuterie. I preferred the salad we had the day before.

Main course was steak in wine sauce, endive, scalloped potatoes and green beans.

Cottage Cheese, a yogurty, tangy farmer's cheese served with a bit of sugar

Puff pastry with chocolate ice cream and a bit of cream sauce. Yummy.
